story abby stephanie maria estrella

One normal day in Mx. Xu's Chinese Class, five friends were messing around, at the fact the teacher wasn't there. Finally, MiMi walked in, only to see her everyday second period acting immature.

"Stop your behavior!" She exclaimed. The students usually didn't treat her right, but she was now getting used to the disciplinary system.

"Psh. Puh-lease. You wasn't even in here. So how do you think that we weren't on our best behavior?!" Stephanie said. She was mad, and trying to stay out of redirection. She's already been to Ms. Kittle's three times this week. Stephanie didn't want to go anymore until next month, which was only a few weeks away.

"You wanna go?" MiMi snapped. She was expecting someone to say that, so she was ready to say something back.

"Yeah I DO wanna go! It's better than this prison. And I tell you that ALL the time. So why do you even bother to ask?!" Stephanie snorted. Usually in second period, Stephanie, Terrance, Abby, Brooke, and Dasha were the ones who acted up.

Ms. Xu let the situation slide. Then out of no where, Terrance started talking back.

"Yeah that's what I though foo!" He said, trying to defend his clique.

"Okay you go!" MiMi said. "You go to Mrs. Kittle!" She yelled over her shoulder, walking toward her desk to get a redirection form.

"Fine! It's not like I DON'T want to go instead of hearing your warden voice." Terrance snapped back. Leaving the classroom, he was making faces behind Ms. Xu's back. Even though she didn't notice him, she thought he might me doing it, but she didn't mind.

When Terrance entered the room, he could feel chills go down his spine, and his guts tie into knots. "Yo wassup Ms." Terrance said, trying not to get another teacher upset with him.

"What is this? Why are you in here AGAIN?!" Kittle said, pretending to be upset.

Terrance felt a breeze of relief rush past him. He laughed shyly, trying to hide his relief. He sat there for about 10 minutes filling out the sheet, and the other 20 minutes talking to Ms. Kittle. He was happy it was a short day that day. Eighth graders had CSAP so everyone had a different schedule.

Finally, when class was over, he went to Science and reunited with his friends.

"Chinese was boring without you foo!" Tamara said, trying to see if he was in a good mood. To her suprise, he just walked straight to science.

"Geez foo, you gon leave me hangin?!" She said, trying to cheer him up.
The next day was a field trip down town. "YAY-UH! I run deez streets-AH!" Terrance said.
"Puh-lease! I was born right here, so clearly, I it." Stephanie said. Every time they went on a field trip, they argues about who runs what.
"No...Remember you run Denver, Tamara runs downtown Denver, Dasha runs Japan, and Brooke runs that one tower we're gonna go on when we go to Japan! I need something to own...So I own my town Downtown." He said, trying to figure out a way to run something.

Estrella Poem

This house is lonely

Nobody is here

I walk inside

Nobody there

BOOM!

There’s somebody upstairs

I creep up the stairs

Nobody in sight

BOOM!

I still hear it

The attic?

No attic

Do I hear crying?

Crying it is

I see one little girl

Laying there

Helpless

Who is here with here with you?

No reply but a cry

We run away

We run and run

LG Voyager (Demonstration of New Techno) By Estrella

Every day it is the future. And as time goes by, new technology is being made. Take the Voyager for example. It was made in late 2007. Everyone was fantasized about what they would do if they had it. Even though not all people could get one, they still messed with it in the stores, and messed with it if their friend had one. When I finally get into detail with this new phone, you'll see what's so great about it. The Voyager has a touch screen pad, and even has a camera. Unlike the iPhone, the LG Voyager has easy texting. The iPhone pad has small texting keys, but the Voyager has a full keyboard when you flip the screen open. The front screen is also touch screen, but when you open the flap, you get a full keyboard, and a camera. New technology allows you to get on the internet with LG Voyager, which you can also do on the iPhone. The iPhone and the LG Voyager are very good and most upgraded phone. Thanks to new technology, we can have internet access in more places.

Estrella's Position on New technology

7th and 8th graders in the 21st Century Pilot Program have experienced new technology powered by Microsoft. Many people believe that young students, like us, shouldn't be able to do so. However, students our age are learning different subjects than regular students. We learn Science and Math Reasoning, Globalization, Information Literacy, Mandarin Chinese, Critical Thinking, and The Arts, which is like P.E. We use our technology to take notes like we would in our notebook, but the laptop replaces pen and paper. The latest technology allows us to take notes in our own handwriting, and if we want, we have the choice to convert it to text, or keep it in our familiar handwriting. 7th and 8th graders shouldn't be judged or told what we can or cannot use. Intelligent learners should be rewarded for what we learn, and in our case, we are rewarded with this useful technology.
